Dr. Yash Jayant Parmar is a consultant ophthalmologist and vitreo retina surgeon with advanced training in retina care. He holds an MBBS, MS in Ophthalmology, and a Fellowship in Vitreo-Retina. His areas of expertise include diabetic retinopathy, complex retinal detachment surgeries, complicated cataract surgeries, trauma management, secondary intraocular lens implantation, macular diseases, age-related macular degeneration, uveitis associated with systemic disorders, and retinopathy of prematurity in newborns.
He is an alumnus of Topiwala National Medical College & B.Y.L. Nair Charitable Hospital, Mumbai and has pursued advanced fellowship training at Narayana Nethralaya, Bangalore. Alongside his clinical practice, Dr. Parmar has mentored retina fellows and served as a lecturer at TNMC & Nair Hospital, Mumbai.
His research contributions have been published in leading national and international journals such as the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology, European Journal of Ophthalmology, Graefe’s Archive, and The Eye Journal, London. He has been recognized with awards from the Maharashtra State Ophthalmic Society and the All India Ophthalmic Society for his outstanding work in the field of ophthalmology.
