Dr. Nimish Kumar Singh is a consultant Ophthalmologist with 7 years of experience in the same field. He completed his MBBS from the prestigious Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (formerly RMCH), Ranchi. He pursued his post-graduation (MS) in Ophthalmology from the same institute, which is also the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology of the state of Jharkhand.

After completing MS with flying colors, he served as a Senior Resident at the erstwhile Patliputra Medical College and Hospital (now SNMMCH), Dhanbad. Following this, he went to the prestigious LV PRASAD EYE INSTITUTE for a long-term fellowship in cornea and anterior segment. During the fellowship, he also independently managed one of the secondary centers of LVPEI for a period of 1 year. He has also been awarded the Fellow of All India Collegium of Ophthalmologists (FAICO) certificate in cornea subspecialty by the All India Ophthalmological Society. He has now joined ASG Eye Hospital as a cataract and cornea consultant.

He is an expert in various methods of cataract surgeries along with vast experience in Premium Intraocular lenses. He also has great clinical acumen in diagnosing and treating various cornea-related diseases like corneal ulcers, infectious and non-infectious keratitis, corneal dystrophies, degenerations, keratoconus and other ectatic conditions, pseudophakic bullous keratopathy, pterygium, and so on. He has performed more than 5000 cataract surgeries, including a significant number of topical phacoemulsifications. He also has extensive experience in performing various corneal transplant procedures like Penetrating Keratoplasty (PK), PK combined with cataract surgery, Descemet Stripping Endothelial Keratoplasty (DSEK), Descemet Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty (DMEK). He is also an expert in managing cases of chemical injury of the eye both medically and surgically by performing procedures such as Amniotic Membrane Grafting (AMG), Simple Limbal Epithelial Transplantation (SLET), Symblepharon release with conjunctival autograft.

Along with clinical expertise, he also has a keen interest in academics and research with quite a handful of publications to his name. He wants to utilize everything he has learned for the betterment of his patients with the sole objective of relieving them from any kind of eye-related ailments.
