About DR. PRAVIN JAIN

Dr. Pravin Jain is a senior eye surgeon with a vast experience of more than 18 year in the field of eye care.
He has done MBBS from Lokmanya Tilak Medical College, Mumbai after clearing All India PMT, postgraduation in ophthalmogy from Rotary eye institute, Surat, Vitreo-retina fellowship under legendry Dr P.N.Nagpal, Ahmedabad. He is trained in retinal angiography from university of Wisconsin, USA and is a fellow of international council of ophthlomology.
He specializes in complex micro-incision vitreo-retinal surgeries for which he received the prestigious RHETT BUCKLER AWARD for best retina surgical video twice, at 9th and 11th world retina congress held at New-york,2009 and Boston, 2011 under aegis of American society of retinal surgeons. He has extensive experience in managing diabetic retinopathies medically and surgically and other retinal disorders.
He has keen interest in screening and treating premature babies in NICU for a preventable blinding disease of “retinopathy of prematurity” and covers entire western Rajasthan. He is probably the first surgeon in Rajasthan and among very few in India to operate on such babies successfully.
He is skilled in phaco-emulsification (complicated cataract surgeries, cataract surgeries with toric, multifocal & trifocal intraocular implants), Femto laser assisted cataract surgeries (FLACS) commonly known as Robotic surgeries.
He has many publications in peer reviewed journals, authored various chapters in textbook of ophthalmology and participated as faculty in numerous conferences. He has been a regular part of rotary international organized cataract surgeries camp in India and Africa.
