Dr. Paras Khatwani is a highly skilled Comprehensive Ophthalmologist who has an outstanding academic background. He completed his MS in Ophthalmology from the prestigious M & J Regional Institute of Ophthalmology (RIO), BJMC Ahmedabad. He further honed his expertise by training in Vitreo-Retina as a Senior Resident at the same institute. To deepen his proficiency, he then went on to pursue advanced Vitreo-Retina Surgery (FVRS) training at the renowned MM Joshi Eye Institute (RGUHS).
Dr. Paras specializes in the management of medical and surgical Vitreo-Retinal diseases, with a particular focus on diabetic retinopathy and macular surgeries. As a consultant at the esteemed MM Joshi Eye Institute, he has performed over 2,000 complex and routine surgeries with precision, demonstrating exceptional skill in handling complications and delivering optimal outcomes. His extensive training enables him to effectively manage all ophthalmic emergencies, including trauma cases.
An active member of various state and national ophthalmology councils, Dr. Paras is a sought-after guest speaker, having delivered numerous lectures. He has also been involved in teaching and mentoring for the past four years and is dedicated to community service through participation in eye camps. Passionate about preventing retinal disorders, he strives to offer world-class care and bring the latest global treatments to patients in need.
In January 2025, Dr. Paras Khatwani joined ASG, Varanasi as a specialized Vitreo-Retina Surgeon, continuing his mission to provide exceptional eye care and raise awareness about retinal health.
