About Dr. Yash Gala
After completing his Post Graduation (MS Ophthalmology) from MGM Institute of Health Sciences, Mumbai, he went on to pursue his long-term fellowship in Cornea, Ocular Surface, and Refractive Surgery from the prestigious Sankara Eye Hospital, Bangalore.
He has excellent clinical skills in diagnosing and managing corneal ulcers, keratoconus, chemical injuries, dry eye, and allergic eye disease.
He is proficient at performing cataract surgery (Topical Phacoemulsification), Pterygium surgeries, Collagen Cross-Linking, Ocular Trauma surgeries, Penetrating and Lamellar Keratoplasties, Amniotic Membrane Transplantation, and SLET.
He has a special interest in performing refractive surgeries like Femto-LASIK, SBK, and PRK.
He also has a keen interest in Eye Banking and actively participates in eye bank activities to create eye donation awareness. He has a keen interest in academic activities and research and has presented various e-posters, physical posters, and free papers in national and international conferences like the World Ophthalmology Congress. He was awarded the 3rd prize in the Young Researchers Award session, PG thesis competition at AIOS 2022. He is a member of AIOS, DOS, MOS, BOA, and CSI.
