About Dr. Kanika Sharma Agrawal

Dr. Kanika Sharma completed her basic medical education, MBBS from Lady Hardine medical college Delhi in 2005. Her journey in the highly specialized field of ophthalmology started from much reputed Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi. Following her Diploma in Ophthalmology (2008), she joined Mohan Eye institute, Delhi and completed Diploma of National Board Ophthalmology, NBE in 2010.

She has an exhaustive medical and surgical experience in both government of national Capital Territory hospitals and private institute in Delhi-NCR. Dr. Kanika has earned international ophthalmic degrees of high acclaim laurels namely FICO Advance (UK) in 2015 and FRC GLASGOW (UK) in 2017. In 2019, she underwent a specialized training in Cornea and Refractive surgeries at MM Joshi Eye institute, Hubli.


Dr. Kanika is a certified Lamellar Corneal Surgeon, trained under Dr. Rajesh Fogla at Apollo Med city Hyderabad. She was trained for Lasik Surgeries by the famous lasik surgeon Dr. Rupal Shah and also Practices the latest Refractive technique of SMILE with ease and expertise.

Dr. Kanika is well versed in handling all types of Cataract surgeries including latest FLACS, corneal Pathologies, keratoconus and transplantations, refractive Errors and re3fractive surgeries, Dry Eye Disorders and anterior segment Ocular trauma management.

With an extensive surgical experience Dr. Kanika has done over 7000 phacoemulsification surgeries,
1000+ SICS, 200 ECCE, and 200+ FLACS (Femtocataract surgeries), 500 challenging eyes in respect to CATARACTS. Among refractive surgeries 300 Lasik, 100 Trans – PRKs, 50 Femto Lasiks, 100 Corneal transplants. She has managed 100+ open globe injuries by surgical globe repair and consequer complications.

During her overall 17 Years of experience Dr. kanika has participated in numerous Eye camps across India (Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka) and contributed to social welfare.
