Question 1: Can Everyone Get LASIK?

Answer:

No. LASIK is not suitable for everyone.

Before recommending LASIK, your ophthalmologist performs a detailed eye examination to evaluate your eye health, corneal thickness, eye power, tear film, and overall suitability.

The goal is always to recommend the safest treatment—not simply to perform surgery.

Question 2: Why Was I Rejected for LASIK?

Being told you're not eligible for LASIK doesn't mean you can never achieve freedom from glasses.

Some common reasons include:

  • Thin corneas
  • Keratoconus or irregular cornea
  • Unstable spectacle power

However, natural age-related changes, such as presbyopia after the age of 40, may still require reading glasses later in life.
