About Dr. Raghav Ravani
Dr.Raghav Ravani is a seasoned ophthalmologist with more than 10 years of working experience in ophthalmology. He has completed his MD ophthalmology from the prestigious AIIMS, NEW DELHI
His keen interest in microsurgery and research led him to specialize and pursue further training as senior resident in Vitreo-retina, uvea and ROP at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Centre for ophthalmic sciences, AIIMS, New Delhi. He has a keen interest in Diabetic eye diseases, Uveitis and ROP. He has exhaustive experience of examining almost 10000+ retina patients. He has performed more than 3000+ diabetic vitrectomy surgeries, along with complex retinal detachment surgeries. He has experience in managing diabetic retinopathies which includes administration of more than 15000+ intravitreal injections, and 5000+ retinal laser procedures. Dr. Raghav has also performed 3000+ cataract (phacoemulsification) surgeries.
Apart from the clinical experience he is also assistant editor of the textbook on retina titled “Retina – Medical and Surgical Management” which is a milestone achievement and his important contribution towards education and training of other young doctors.
He has been awarded Dr. A.C. Agarwal Trohy for the Best Free Paper in 2017 at annual state conference, Delhi. He has contributed many book chapters in different subspeciality ophthalmic textbooks and presented his research at various national and international scientific forums. He has numerous publications in indexed peer-reviewed journals to his credit.
