Dr Akansha was a Senior Research Associate at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. She was previously working as Senior Resident at RML Hospital and Post Graduate Institute of Medical Research, Ministry of Health and Family welfare, New Delhi managing high volume clinics and OR. She received an invitation to join as a Postdoctoral fellow at Doheny/Jules Stein - Doheny Eye Institute, University of California Los Angeles.
She has actively sought out guidance and collaboration with experts in Ophthalmology and vision research and is actively involved with the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) and was honoured with lifetime membership of this prestigious organisation. She is a recipient of TATA Trust fellowship and DCERF award (ARVO,USA) and has presented in International and national conferences.
