About Dr. Deepak Soni
Dr. Deepak Soni is a dynamic and dedicated oculoplastic surgeon currently affiliated with ASG Eye Hospital in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
Dr. Deepak Soni completed his undergraduate studies (MBBS) at Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi from 2009 to 2014. Following his graduation, he pursued his postgraduate degree (MS) in Ophthalmology at Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi from 2015 to 2018. His keen interest in Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery and Ocular Oncology led him to specialize and pursue further training as senior resident at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal from 2018 to 2021 and fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Ocular Oncology, and Facial Aesthetics at Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya in Guwahati, Assam, from 2022 to 2023. Additionally, he holds a short-term fellowship training in Phacoemulsification at RIO, Sitapur.
Dr. Soni’s expertise lies in the medical and surgical management of various oculoplastic conditions, including eyelid malpositions, ptosis, blepharoplasty, oculo-facial trauma, orbital fracture reconstructions, pathologies of the lacrimal drainage system, thyroid eye disease, and ocular and orbital tumors. Furthermore, he has notable experience in the treatment of ocular surface tumors and its reconstruction, and phacoemulsification surgeries.
Apart from the clinical experience, he made significant contributions to the scientific community through his national and international publications (>50) in peer-reviewed journals and has also authored chapters in textbook of ophthalmology titled “Corneal Emergencies” from Springer Nature. His expertise has been recognized at national and international conferences, where he has delivered faculty talks and conducted instructional courses. Notably, he won Gold Medal award in the free paper presentation as a presenting author in Annual Conference Session at the Oculoplastics Association of India Conference (OPAI) in 2022.
