Dr. Samarth Mishra is a highly accomplished ophthalmologist with a diverse academic and professional background. He earned his M.B.B.S from M.K.C.G Medical College, Berhampur, and went on to excel in his M.S (Ophthalmology) at V.S.S Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla, where he earned the distinction of being the PG batch topper.
During his residency, He underwent Zeiss basic ophthalmological training at LVPEI, Hyderabad, showcasing his commitment to continuous learning. His dedication to academic excellence was further recognized when he reached the final round of the prestigious ERUDIO academic achiever’s award conducted by Allergan nationwide.
To refine his surgical skills, He pursued a long-term clinical VitreoRetinal fellowship at Sankara Nethralaya (SN), Chennai. His research interests blossomed during this period, particularly in MultiColor imaging, leading to the publication of numerous papers in reputable national and international journals.
he commitment to excellence is underscored by his successful completion of the International Council of Ophthalmology examination, covering basic, optics, and clinical stages. His professional journey includes pivotal roles at Sankara Eye Hospital in Samarjhola, Odisha, and Centre for Sight (CFS), Bhubaneswar, where he played a crucial role in advancing the capabilities of the retina department.
Currently serving as the head of the Vitreoretina department at ASG Eye Hospital, Bhubaneswar, He continues to contribute significantly to the field. His passion for research is evident in his extensive publication record, boasting over 25 papers in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Mishra is a proud member of several esteemed ophthalmological societies, including the European Society of Retina Specialists (ESRS) and the All India Ophthalmic Society (AIOS).
Beyond his medical pursuits, Dr. Mishra nurtures a passion for numismatics, enjoys traveling, and finds solace in listening to music during his free time. His dedication to advancing the field of ophthalmology and improving patient care marks him as a distinguished professional in his field.
